Three CS Graduate Students Receive Doctoral Hoods


Friday, May 9, 2008, three Computer Science graduate students received their doctoral hoods. The Doctoral Hooding Ceremony took place in the Stude Concert Hall at the Shepard School of Music.

The CS graduate students that received their doctoral hoods were:

Shu Du
Dissertation: Using Routing Information to Improve MAC Performance
 in Multi-Hop Wireless Networks

Thesis Director and Hooding Faculty: David Johnson

Ajay Gulati
Dissertation: Performance Virtualization and QoS in Shared Storage Systems
Thesis Director and Hooding Faculty: Peter Varman

Gabriel Marin
Dissertation: Application Insight Through Performance Modeling
Thesis Director and Hooding Faculty: John Mellor-Crummey

Keith Cooper served as the mace bearer, and as the hooding faculty for ECE graduate student, Paul Willmann.
