Sarkar to Serve on Department of Energy's Advanced Scientific Computing Advisory Committee

Prof. Vivek Sarkar has been invited to serve on the Department of Energy's Advanced Scientific Computing Advisory Committee (DOE ASCAC). He will be sworn in on August 11, 2009.

The committee was established on August 12, 1999, to assist the DOE with a variety of complex scientific and technical issues related to its ASC Research Program. The Committee is comprised of representativews of universities, national laboratories, and industries involved in advanced computing research.
